Another mission is to foster collaboration between government, civil society, the private sector, academia and youth as civic and democratic participation, digital resilience and social inclusion in Timor-Leste.

Hadomi Timor Foundation has played a vital role in advocating for digital development in Timor-Leste. Through reports, seminars, and workshops, they address real digital challenges, including the rise of AI. I commend their efforts in guiding the country toward digital transformation. FHT’s digital literacy and advocacy programs empower communities by equipping them with skills and knowledge to navigate and influence the digital world safely.

FHT is a Civil Society Organization in Timor-Leste, registered with the Ministry of Justice and INDMO, and a member of FONGTIL and TLCE, advocating for digital rights, literacy, capacity building, democracy participation, and inclusive development.

FHT envisions a digitally empowered, educated, and inclusive society where everyone, especially youth, can safely and ethically participate in the digital world and national development.

FHT promotes digital rights, strengthens digital literacy, and empowers communities through equitable access to technology, non-formal education, and democratic participation.

FHT conducts workshops like “Workshop iha Literasia Dijitál, Mídia no AI” and training programs such as Cyber Security and Internet Safety Program, equipping individuals with skills to navigate and utilize digital technologies effectively.

FHT engages in advocacy through digital campaigns, policy submissions, producing documents to influence national digital strategies and promote online human rights.

FHT organizes community outreach like “Divulgasaun ba Komunidade kona-ba Asuntu Dijitál sira” and inclusive discussions, reaching 39 communities by 2027 to raise awareness and build capacity on digital issues.

FHT promotes digital inclusion through programs like “Inkluzaun Dijitál ba Grupu Marjinalizadu sira,” offering training and resources to empower marginalized communities with digital skills and opportunities.

This division advocates for digital rights, promotes civic engagement, and monitors national digital policies to ensure inclusive, transparent governance and equitable technology access.
